Luis Max Rodriguez of Miami Florida, passed away peacefully in Gainesville, GA on December 20, 2022 at the age of 73.
Luis loved working with young people in youth ministry during his college years at Florida Bible College in Hollywood, Florida. He proudly served as a Police Officer in Miami, Dade County. He also served in the Coast Guard and in the Marine Patrol in Florida. He was Chief of Security for Fisher Island in Miami, Florida for many years. In his later years, he donated much of his time faithfully serving at Shake-a-Leg in Miami, Florida. Shake-a-Leg uses water sports to help children, adults and veterans with disabilities.
Undoubtedly, we are heartbroken at his loss. He was such a lively one-of-a-kind character, filled with much love and compassion for others. He loved God, his family and others passionately and with a true heart of gold! He will be greatly missed…
We are comforted though in the thought that he is now in Heaven, rejoicing in God’s presence. No more suffering for him! He’s whole now, and enjoying that wonderful and glad reunion with family and friends in Heaven. We grieve, but have hope, knowing that we will see him again, and will one day be reunited with him in Heaven forever!
“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”Jude 1:24-25
In leu of flowers, his family request’s that donations be given to this fund in order to cover expenses for his funeral and final expenses.
His "Celebration of Life Memorial" is planned for February 11 at 10:00 a.m.
