Breast Cancer
My sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer February 2023. At that time she pushed my other sister and I to get our mammograms. To placate her, I did, even though I personally was the healthiest of us three girls. In April 2023 I was diagnosed with Breat Cancer, Stage 2. I had lumpectomy done, and that’s when they found the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes (which they hadn’t discovered during initial biopsy). I began Chemo June 1st. After I complete it, I will do 6 weeks of radiation.
I’m asking for help financially. My husband is VietNam Vet (Navy) now retired. I am not retired, earn minimum wage to care for my daughter’s 4 children so she can work. My medical bills are beginning to pour in. So far I’m at $101,000 - my insurance has covered all but $10,000. I have no idea what the rest of my medical bills will or won’t be covered, and am freaking out a little.
