Support Our Family Through Books or Donations

My name is Arnel. I am a husband, a father of two, and the only provider for my family. Before anything else, I want to be honest. I am not here to ask for free money. I work as a factory worker here in Manitoba. I show up every day, I do my job, and I continue to look for a second job so I can keep paying our rent and make ends meet. I am doing everything I can to provide for my family. Alongside my work, I am also an author on Amazon KDP. I write cookbooks based on our real-life experiences here in Canada practical meals, budget cooking, and survival-style recipes shaped by real struggle. These books are my honest work. They are proof that I am still trying, still building, still fighting. Here are the links: Amazon Link https://a.co/d/23OHHJb https://a.co/d/9sicRpD https://a.co/d/4ZXTkup https://a.co/d/8VwFxzp  Any donation is a tremendous help to our family, and I am deeply grateful for every act of kindness. But if you prefer to support us in a way that honors honest work, you can help by purchasing my books instead. Every book bought is food on our table. Every sale represents effort. Every page carries a father’s determination to keep going. We are Filipino immigrants living in Manitoba, Canada. We arrived here in 2018 full of hope, believing that hard work and sacrifice would eventually lead to stability. Instead, we have spent years struggling quietly just to survive. Life has been relentless. Our daughter is now five years old and should be starting school. Like any parent, we want to give our children security, opportunity, and a stable future. But just when we were trying to hold everything together, my wife lost her job as a healthcare agency scheduler after the Manitoba government removed small healthcare agencies. That loss pushed our already fragile situation even closer to the edge. Today, we are facing a painful reality: without a major change, our family is only about a year away from homelessness. After many sleepless nights and difficult conversations, we made a hard but honest decision: We need to return home to the Philippines and rebuild our life from the ground up. We have not been home since 2018. We miss our families, our community, and the support system that once gave us strength. Back home, we have a real chance to rebuild through simple, honest work. My dream is simple: I want to open a small food stall in our hometown. I am a good cook. Food has always been my strength, my passion, and my way of caring for others. I don’t dream of a big restaurant. I dream of honest food, long hours, hard work, and a life where I can provide for my family with dignity. Right now, I simply do not have the resources or connections to start on my own — but I believe this dream is possible with the right support. We are not asking for luxury. We are asking for a chance to stand again. Funds raised will help with: • Plane tickets to return home • Basic relocation expenses • Temporary support while we restart • Farming tools and supplies • Initial setup for a small food stall • School needs for our children This is not easy to share. No father wants to admit he is struggling. But I am choosing honesty over silence because my children deserve a future built on hope, not fear. If you choose to support us by buying my books, thank you for honoring honest work. If you choose to donate, thank you for your kindness. If you choose to share our story, thank you for helping us be seen. Every form of support matters. Every bit is deeply appreciated. With sincerity and gratitude, Arnel and Family
