I have been fortunate to meet someone from overseas in Southeast Asia. Before you think it, this is no scam. I have no monetary fortune to be falsely played for which is in fact is one of the reasons I have resorted to this process. God has graced us with this future after both experiencing long and difficult lives and loss. I traveled overseas and spent wonderful time with her and we have decided to marry. Because marrying there would require a two year wait for her to join me in the US, bringing her here to be married is most prudent and will take about half of the time. We started the process last spring , and though it is progressing through immigration, recent tighter restrictions have resulted in higher government fees, and retention of lawyers to facilitate what has become a more complicated and expensive process. Traveling there again to return with her is very expensive and because dates are to be determined, no cost savings can be had by advance booking. When we return together to the US, there will be more government fees including the cost to to apply for green card (which is being currently scrutinized) all which will require additional lawyer fees to navigate. Providing medical insurance, as everyone knows, will be another expense which has recently significantly increased. Though she will attempt to seek employment in her trade, it will be a long and expensive process to obtain work permits and schooling necessary to obtain a required state license even though she has done this in her home country for decades. I have a modest home and a fixed income with limited work ability and am doing all I can. Though I am aware of all that will have to happen, the legal, government, travel and resettling costs are staggering. I know I have been blessed with this opportunity and clearly know where it comes from. I only wish to make her comfortable. I have already incurred debts in this pursuit and need help to eradicate that and cover future expenses. The news is full of stories of increasing restrictions and difficulties and delaying the process because of financial issues is ill advised as the rules keep changing. My current job allows me to work part time but in this economy, hours have been greatly reduced. I never envisioned doing anything like asking for support, but this wonderful person is giving up familiarity of home,family, language, and customs to be with me, and I am trying my best to make our dream come true. One of the hardest parts is the time spent apart since we were together .  I am desperate to return to see her again, before the months of processing are complete. Airfare is up significantly now and I am trying to find a way but with recently reduced income it is heartbreaking to be restricted and we are forced to use technology to communicate for now.  There is more life behind us than in front of us, but we wish to make the rest of it count with love and togetherness. Again, I will say this is for real, and I know that is coming together was no accident. We were not chasing but clearly led to each other across the world. I am grateful to God everyday for her, and she is equally grateful for me.  When I realized His grace, my path became clear.  I pray he will provide, and I trust that if you are reading this, you might be the "hands and feet" to help.
