What happened to Rosanne Boyland

Rosanne Boyland died at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.  There are still many questions about exactly what happened to her.  Videos show her being beaten by a female officer after being crushed by protesters pushed by police.  Yet the DC Medical Examiner said Rosanne's body showed no signs of trauma, and attributed her death to the prescription medication she took every day for years.

According to videos and statements, Rosanne was dragged unconscious through the west tunnel by the police at 4:31 PM.  Then she was taken to the crypt and to the House Majority Leader's office before EMTs arrived at 5:45 PM, finding her inside the rotunda being given CPR by Capitol police.

We were not expecting all our requests for information to be denied or ignored.  This has forced us to seek donations to pay for an autopsy review and legal assistance.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Family of Rosanne Boyland

We wish to thank all of you for your prayers and donations.  We were finally given access to the full autopsy report, and are in the process of contracting with an independent company for a second opinion.

Getting access to body-worn camera and CCTV footage has continued to be a struggle.  We’ve especially requested information about what happened to Rosanne once the police took her inside the Capitol.  Six weeks ago we were told that the lawyers for both DC Metro and Capitol police agreed to provide us with all of the relevant videos — after redaction, of course.  So far, we\'ve received nothing.

Thank you for all your prayers and donations supporting our fight for the truth.
We've increased our funding goal to cover both legal fees and the autopsy review.
To clarify matters somewhat ...
1) Yes, we received the initial autopsy report, but were denied the in-depth report needed to get an independent review. We were told to get a court order.
2) The cause of death given by the ME's office has been misunderstood by many.  The only drugs in Rosanne's body were her prescription medications.  The amphetamine was Adderall, not  meth, or any other illegal drug.  Rosanne was deservedly proud that she had kicked heroin 7 years ago.
