Please help us build our new church home in the most rapidly growing region in the country!

We are a mission parish of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod formed by a handful of North Idaho families in the late summer of 2020. For the first several months we held our Divine Service in a garage until, just before Christmas 2020, the good people of Maple Street Community Church in Hayden allowed us to rent their building.

Through some generous gifts – including two $25,000 matching grants – we are moving toward acquiring land in the Hayden/Athol area of North Idaho to construct our own facilities. Our vision is to construct a church that brings to mind a traditional European or early American church – a building evocative of an era when God's Word was preached purely and fearlessly therein and harmonizing with our beautiful, rural North Idaho setting.

By the grace of God, our congregation has already tripled in size and includes all ages: unborn babies, toddlers taking their first steps during Sunday service, youth and teenagers, young married couples, the middle-aged, and grandparents approaching their 80s. We all join for fellowship, Bible studies, and of course the Divine Service where we receive God’s gift of salvation through the proclamation of the Gospel. During our first nine months we were blessed to witness a dozen baptisms and over half a dozen people receive their first Holy Communion. God has richly blessed us!

Ways Our Parish Connects to the Community in Addition to Sunday Bible Study and Church Services
• Our monthly “Logos & Lager” men’s group;
• Seminars open to all
• Midweek Advent services;
• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services;
• Midweek Lenten Services;
• Triduum services (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil);
• We intend to maintain this schedule and to host additional special church services and other public events when we attain our own church building.

We aspire to be the hub of our North Idaho community, offering the solid rock of Jesus Christ as an anchor amidst the storms of our time.

Please help us fully benefit from the generous matching gift and assist in building Blessed Sacrament Lutheran Church, enabling us to be an ever brighter beacon of the Gospel light in North Idaho!
