After losing my husband, I’ve been doing my best to keep going through some incredibly tough health challenges.

I have been battling metastatic stage 3C Cancer. Over the years, I’ve had multiple surgeries and over two years of intensive double drug treatment. My body is exhausted, and my health has recently declined further because of ongoing complications from the Cancer and its treatments and surgeries.

Every day, I live with constant pain and extreme fatigue, Lymphoedema, nerve damage and lifelong hormone issues. I have also been left with swelling and permanent damage to my Brain's Pituitary gland as a result of my Cancer treatment, adding another lifelong health challenge. Managing my health takes hours of medication and care every single day

Even simple tasks like cooking, cleaning, or playing with my kids are a struggle, and some days just getting through feels impossible.

My kids are my world, and it breaks my heart that I can’t always be the mom I want to be for them. I don’t have any other support, and I’m doing everything on my own while trying to manage my health and care for them.

After paying rent, bills and necessities, there’s very little if any left for the medical treatments I need — including therapies and extremely costly compression garments that must be replaced every few months to manage pain, improve mobility, and cope day to day. These treatments are essential for me just to function and are an ongoing, lifelong need, but right now they are becoming impossible to afford.

I’m reaching out for help so I can access the care I need, get some relief from pain, and be more present for my little ones. I just want to be able to function better and give my children more of me.
