Jamie Morro, a beloved member of the North Shore community, has lost so much in the recent flooding that devastated Haleiwa and Waialua.

In the middle of the night, as heavy rains overwhelmed our area, water rushed into homes without warning. Like many others on the North Shore, Jamie woke up in the pitch dark to rising floodwaters moving through her property—bringing mud, debris, and destruction with it.

While Jamie, her animals and the inside of her house are safe, the damage has been overwhelming. She has lost personal belongings, essential household items, many animals items (such as cat beds, perches, blankets, etc), and possibly her car that she drives everyday. Now she’s facing the exhausting and costly process of cleaning up, rebuilding, and starting over.

If you know Jamie, you know she is always the one showing up for others. She is an animal advocate who quietly spends her time feeding and caring for a large cat colony on the North Shore—often putting their needs before her own. She has a generous heart and has helped so many in our community, both people and animals alike.

Now she needs our help.
