Our local congregation stands firmly within the historical fellowship of the Churches of Christ, heavily shaped by the 19th-century American Restoration Movement. We are dedicated to operating simply as Christians only, casting aside human creeds and denominational structures to follow the New Testament as our solo guide for faith, daily living, and communal worship.

For years, our close-knit assembly at 4934 Southport-Supply Road SE has been a spiritual sanctuary near the beach. We are a vibrant community of believers working collectively to share the Gospel, support families, and act as a harbor of hope for our neighbors throughout Southport and Brunswick County. Under our local leadership, we actively pursue Christ's call to love our community through practical service, shared life, and dedicated Bible study.

2. The Heartbreak of Our Sanctuary

Dear friends, family, and community,

Our hearts are heavy as we share that a devastating flood has submerged and severely ruined our beloved spiritual home, Brunswick Church of Christ, located at 4934 Southport-Supply Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461.

While we are profoundly grateful to God that everyone in our church family is safe, the water damage to our physical building is catastrophic. Severe flooding has ravaged our main worship auditorium, completely ruined our Bible class spaces, and damaged our community fellowship facilities. This unexpected disaster has left our congregation without a clean, usable place to gather for our regular Sunday worship assemblies and mid-week Bible studies.

3. Why We Need Your Help

Our mission to spread the gospel and care for the hurting remains completely unbroken, but we cannot do this alone. Our physical building has long served as a crucial launchpad for local benevolence, youth spiritual development, and regional outreach projects.

The road to full recovery is going to be incredibly long. The immense financial cost of professional water extraction, mold mitigation, replacing ruined interior walls, and purchasing new seating is overwhelming. Standard property coverage frequently falls short of addressing severe, total flood devastation, leaving our congregation with an massive financial gap to close before our church home can be safely occupied again.

Every single dollar raised through this campaign is being overseen by our main organizer, Kimberly Scott, working directly alongside church leadership to ensure transparent allocation toward:

1. Immediate Water Extraction & Mold Mitigation: Rapidly drying out the Southport-Supply Road property to preserve structural integrity.
2. Interim Ministry Operations: Setting up temporary meeting spaces and replacing damaged audio equipment so our Sunday services can continue safely without pause.
3. Sanctuary Restoration: Tearing out ruined materials to completely rebuild our flooring, drywall, and main worship space.
4. Classroom & Fellowship Renewal: Replacing furniture, educational resources, and nursery supplies for our children's Bible classes.
