Recently Diagnosed with Psoriasis

I spent 11 years in the United States Army serving as a Chaplain Assistant — the guy soldiers came to when they were at their lowest. I listened. I showed up. I carried what I could so they didn’t have to carry it alone.

I’d do it all again. But the service took its toll.

Today I’m rated 100% service-connected disabled by the VA. I live with PTSD, a broken back, psoriasis, and a list of other conditions that make every single day a fight just to function. Treating the psoriasis alone now requires injections that cost $15,000 per shot — an added weight that’s hard to keep up with on top of everything else.

Despite all of that, I’m still the sole provider for my family — my wife stays home to raise our four kids, and I go to work because that’s what dads do.

We’re not behind on our mortgage. We’re not in crisis. But we’re one bad month away from it at all times, and that weight never leaves. Every month it’s the same math: make it work, keep the lights on, make sure the kids don’t feel it.

I’m not asking for a luxury. I’m not asking for a bailout. I just need some help...

$100,000 covers 64 months of mortgage at $1,550/month plus 6 psoriasis injections at $15,000 each — over 5 years where I can focus on my kids, my health, and getting stable instead of grinding myself down just to keep a roof over our heads.

I spent 11 years taking care of soldiers. I’m asking for help taking care of my family.

Every $1,550 donated is one more month my kids don’t feel the pressure. Every dollar matters.

Thank you — not just for giving, but for seeing this and caring enough to read it.
