Join GiveSendGo’s #PrayAllMay Challenge!

By: Alex Shipley on | Comments: 0
Every year, on the first Thursday of May, millions of believers across the U.S. unite in prayer for our nation, our leaders, our communities, and our families.

It’s called the National Day of Prayer, but here’s the truth:

What happens on Friday?
Do we pray just as fervently and intentionally then?
Most of us would probably say no.

But what if this day sparked something daily in our hearts?
What if prayer became a habit—not just a once-a-year moment?

At GiveSendGo, we’ve seen the power of prayer firsthand. While many come to GiveSendGo seeking financial help, they often tell us that the most meaningful and comforting thing they received was prayer—whether it was a call from our Hope Team, a message left on their campaign page, or both!

There’s something powerful about knowing someone is lifting you up before God—even if they’ve never met you. Wouldn’t you feel the same?

So this May, we’re inviting you to be that person.
Join us for #PrayAllMay, our month-long May prayer challenge.

Because prayer changes things.

And God is eager to hear from you.

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
— Jeremiah 33:3

“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”
— 1 John 5:14-15

The #PrayAllMay Challenge

For the next 4 weeks, pick one prayer focus per week—and go deep.

Of course, you’ll still pray for other things. But this gives you a simple roadmap to stay motivated and intentional with one area each week.

Here’s your weekly prayer guide:

Week 1: Our Nation

Let’s lift up our country to the One who holds the world in His hands.

Here are a few things you can pray for:

  • Wisdom and integrity for national, state, and local leaders. That they would lead with justice, humility, and truth.
  • Peace in our land—both within our communities and between nations.
  • Revival—that people across the nation would encounter the love of Jesus and turn their hearts back to God.
  • Unity across divides—racial, political, socioeconomic—that the Church would lead the way in showing what true reconciliation looks like.
  • Protection and courage for those in the military, law enforcement, and first responders.

Righteousness and truth to prevail in policies, laws, and decisions that impact our daily lives. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12

Week 2: The Hurting

We all know someone who’s walking through something heavy. This week, we intentionally lift up those in pain.

Here are a few things you can pray for:

  • Healing for those facing sickness, injuries, or chronic illness.
  • Comfort for those grieving a loss—whether it’s a loved one, a job, a home, or a dream.
  • Hope for the depressed, anxious, or hopeless. That they would feel seen, known, and loved.
  • Provision for the financially struggling—that God would meet needs in miraculous ways.
  • Strength for caregivers, single parents, and those who feel forgotten.
  • Divine appointments—that people who are hurting would encounter someone who points them to Jesus.

Tip: Scroll through campaigns on GiveSendGo and choose one person or family to pray for each day. You can even leave a prayer or note of encouragement by clicking the “Pray Now” button on their campaign page!

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Week 3: The Church

The Church isn’t a building—it’s the people of God. This week, we pray for His Bride to rise up in truth, love, and boldness.

Here are a few things you can pray for:

  • Unity among believers. That we’d focus on what unites us—Jesus—rather than what divides us.
  • Boldness to share the Gospel and stand for truth in love, even in a culture that’s growing increasingly hostile to faith.
  • Strength for pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders who are weary or under attack.
  • Revival in churches—that dry bones would come alive and lukewarm hearts would be set on fire for Christ.
  • A deeper hunger for God’s Word and obedience to live it out daily.
  • Protection from compromise, gossip, division, and false teaching.

“…that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word…” — Ephesians 5:26

Week 4: Your Circle

This one is close to home. Who has God placed in your life right now? Your prayers matter in their lives more than you know.

Here are a few things you can pray for:

  • Salvation—that family members, friends, neighbors, or coworkers would come to know Jesus personally.
  • Wisdom and discernment in decision-making—for yourself and those you love.
  • Reconciliation in relationships where there’s been hurt, distance, or brokenness.
  • Peace in homes—that God would calm chaos, ease anxiety, and bring unity.
  • Obedience to God’s voice. That you (and others) would follow Him closely and trust Him completely.
  • Clarity in calling and purpose. That your friends and family would walk in confidence and faith.

Write down their names. Ask God what He wants to say to them—and how He might use you to share it.

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
— James 5:16

Why It Matters

God wants us to come boldly before Him in prayer. Think about how we treat our closest friends—we spend time with them, call or text them, hang out, and stay connected. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be great friends. That’s how our relationship with God should be.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (ESV)

Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s not about having the perfect words—it’s about showing up every day with faith and expectation.

Want to Go Deeper?

Here are a few ways to personalize your challenge:

  • Start a prayer journal to track each week’s focus and how God answers your prayers.(So often, we miss how God is working simply because we’re not expecting it—or not looking for it. When we remember what He’s done, it gives us faith to believe He’s still at work today.)
  • Choose a new GiveSendGo campaign each week to pray over—and leave an encouraging prayer or note by clicking “Pray Now.”
  • Invite a friend or family member to join you in the challenge and share updates.
  • Set a daily prayer alarm to pause and remember the week’s focus.

Let’s Pray Together

This May, let’s become a people known for bold, consistent prayer—not just on May 1st, but every day after.

Tag us @GiveSendGo on social media with the hashtag #PrayAllMay to share what you’re praying for this month—we’d love to feature you and join you in prayer!

More Than Money: Honoring National Volunteer Month by Giving Your Time

By: Alex Shipley on | Comments: 0
April is National Volunteer Month—a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible impact volunteers make in their communities and around the world. At GiveSendGo, we believe giving isn’t just about money—it’s also about time, compassion, and presence. In a world often consumed with “more,” volunteering is a beautiful act of selfless service that reflects the heart of God.

The Power of Showing Up

It’s easy to think generosity starts and ends with what’s in your wallet. But some of the most meaningful gifts can’t be measured in dollars. Giving your time to help a neighbor, serve in your church, or volunteer with a local ministry can change lives—including your own.

Scripture reminds us of the value of serving others:

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
—1 Peter 4:10

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
—Galatians 6:9

Whether you’re mentoring a student, delivering meals, visiting shut-ins, or picking up trash in your neighborhood, your time has eternal value. In fact, some of the most powerful moments of ministry happen when we simply show up.

Giving Time AND Resources

Volunteering and financial giving don’t have to be either/or—they go hand in hand. Maybe you’re planning a community outreach or organizing a mission trip where people will be volunteering their time and talents. These kinds of efforts still need practical support—transportation, accommodations, supplies, food, and more.

That’s where GiveSendGo comes in.

Starting a campaign on GiveSendGo allows you to rally your community to support projects that combine both time and treasure. Whether you’re:
  • Leading a youth group on a service trip
  • Hosting a local volunteer day and need funds for tools or food
  • Helping someone launch a nonprofit that relies on volunteers
  • Serving at a crisis response site and need help with travel, supplies, or lodging

GiveSendGo helps you invite others to join in—through prayer, donations, and encouragement.

Be the Hands and Feet

Jesus said:

“The greatest among you shall be your servant.”
—Matthew 23:11

This National Volunteer Month, let’s reflect His love by stepping into the needs around us—not just with our money, but with our hands, our hearts, and our time. Whether you're scrubbing floors, praying with strangers, or starting a campaign to fuel a service project, you are planting seeds of hope.

And hope grows best when we give generously—however we’re able.

GiveSendGo and AMAC Partner to Champion Freedom and Hope!

By: Alex Shipley on | Comments: 0
In a time when voices are often silenced, GiveSendGo is excited to announce our partnership with AMAC (Association of Mature American Citizens), the leading organization dedicated to defending the values and freedoms of America’s seniors.

As the fastest-growing conservative alternative to AARP, AMAC represents over 2 million members, standing as a powerful voice for seniors by advocating for smaller government, lower taxes, and individual rights.

At GiveSendGo, we recognize that the fight for freedom requires bold allies. That’s why we’re honored to welcome AMAC to our list of trusted business partners. Their unwavering dedication to preserving freedom, faith, and family aligns with the values we uphold on our platform—where individuals can fundraise for the causes that matter most to them, without fear of censorship, and regardless of their beliefs.

“At AMAC, we know what it means to face overwhelming odds, just as GiveSendGo does in standing up for conservative values. Like David against Goliath, we aren’t afraid to challenge the powerful forces that threaten our freedoms,”  said Rebecca Weber, AMAC CEO. “Together, we’re proving that even the smallest voice, when guided by truth and conviction, can make a resounding difference.”

This partnership brings together two organizations with a shared vision for freedom and hope, so we’re thrilled to spread the word about the incredible benefits AMAC offers its members, including:

  • Exclusive Discounts: Enjoy savings on travel, insurance, and everyday products and services.
  • Advocacy: AMAC actively lobbies for seniors' rights and benefits at both state and national levels.
  • Member Services: Access personalized assistance with Medicare, Social Security, and other senior-related issues.
  • Informative Resources: Stay informed with AMAC’s publications and newsletters, keeping you updated on issues that matter to you.

“We’re proud to partner with AMAC,” said Jacob Wells, Co-Founder of GiveSendGo. “They, like GiveSendGo, are innovating and redeeming the spaces we’re called to, offering not just alternatives, but replacements to the platforms that seek to silence and undermine the values and freedoms this nation was built on. It’s incredible to see our organizations unite to share hope and champion freedom for people, especially in their greatest times of need.”

So, if you're looking for exclusive benefits like these that protect seniors' rights, click here to learn more about joining AMAC today. And don’t forget to use GiveSendGo for all your crowdfunding needs!
