Good-afternoon! This is Heidi and thought I would give a little update on what is going on with Yolanda. I see it's been quite awhile since we have done that! She just got the tickets bought to go to California on Tuesday, October 29th. She is going to have a cryoblation procedure (freezing the tumor) done on the 30th. The procedure can take up to 3 hours, and then they will be flying home on Thursday. Cody is going along with her, so we are sure thankful he can make that work! However, the money still seems to be in short supply for all these treatments and demands, so if you feel to help out a little, every dollar is greatly appreciated! Also, they definitely appreciate the continued prayers and support.
First of all, a big thank you to each and every one of you dear people!! All the many prayers offered, the generous gifts of money and all the care and concern mean so much to us. A couple of weeks ago we went to Kansas City and were well impressed with Dr. Lucas. I did have a couple of Vitamin C IVs while there. I am also giving myself mistletoe shots 3 days a week to boost my immunity and fight the cancer cells. We have been searching for a place here in Jonesboro that would be willing to give my IVC treatments. So thankful that we finally found a Home Health company that will be doing it for me!! I go in for my first one tomorrow. I will get 2 a week for 3 months. I am also talking to a doctor in California who does cryoblation (freezing the tumor). I'm waiting to hear if I will qualify for that. I also had extensive blood work done to check lots of different things, including cancer markers and whether there are more cancer cells other places in my body. Would very much appreciate your prayers that those tests will come back okay. It will be a few weeks before we get the results back.
Just a little update - it seems like for now the door is not so open to go to Mexico. However, we have found a place in Kansas City that we are impressed with. I have an appointment to go there on August 14 and will be there for extensive blood work, visits with the doctor and various treatments. We would really appreciate your continued prayers and support! We would be glad to discuss any of this with you if you have any questions.
