Do you know why only only 56% of people who are eligible to vote actually vote?
There are three reasons:
1. Disillusionment
2. Indifference
3. A sense of futility
Our Governments' decisions are making our citizens feel all of the above.
I am willing to do my part to change that.
I am a single parent who knows what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck. During my life I've worn many hats. I founded an advertising agency in Utah that operated for 13 years, then I opened a bar during the SLC Olympics. I've worked for clients like the US Army, US Airforce, Tooele County Commission, Dick Simon Trucking, Utah Scientific, Laird Telemedia, EDO Sports, Synergy Group, and the SLC Olympic Bid Committee.
All my life I have wanted to live in Oregon so when the opportunity came, I jumped on it. I spent 15 years in Eugene and moved to North Bend in 2019.
In Oregon, I've been employed as the National Sales Manager for two Oregon manufacturers, LRI Photon Micro Lights and High-Tech Transport aka Air-Weigh On-Board Scales. I've been a guest speaker for the SBA in their program, "How to do business with the Government." and I was a Member of the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition. Following the death of my 19-year-old son, Robert; I started my web development company ACTNow Retention Services, LLC.
I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking the trails along the Adventure Coast and taking pictures and flying kites. I feel lucky to enjoy the paradise we live in.
The reasons I am running for Coos County Clerk:
I am a regular person who wants fair elections. My IT background will help me ensure that the Clerk's office is providing the citizen's transparent, auditable results.
I will do my duty to ensure the privacy of the electors votes, cleanse the voter roles, and provide the true results of each election.
At this critical time I ask you for support to help me protect our sacred election process.
All the best,
Diane Rich
