We invite you to offer a tax-deductible contribution to support our annual mission efforts in Armenia. Richard Fund (Executive Director) and Joe Clase (Assistant Director) will be traveling to Armenia November 13 to 24, 2019 to purchase coats and shoes from a local Armenian business to distribute to Armenian children. The rest of the trip will be focused on providing education to Armenian farmers and conducting a needs assessment highlighting opportunities for the organization to "Uplift Armenia" and its people. Each $50 donation will provide a coat and shoes for an Armenian child.
Low and middle income families make up around 60% of the population in Armenia with an average monthly income of US $340 with the median wage for a day's work between $8 to $15 per day. With many rural Armenian families using agricultural production as a way to support their children, there is an opportunity for American's to both share our extensive knowledge of ways to improve agricultural quality and yield. We can also provide needed assistance to keep their children healthy while these Armenian farmer's work to improve their farms and livelihood.
Richard & Shirley Funt founded the Armenian Children's Support Fund in December 2016 to provide financial and technical support to children and adults in Armenia for education , agriculture, medicine, engineering and environment. This includes, but is not limited to, infrastructure, schools (STEM), community centers, colleges, roads, water and irrigation systems , libraries and student scholarships. Support also includes new technologies in medicine, agriculture, reforestation to reduce global warming and the use of these in training teachers, scientists, clinicians and gardeners.
