I just adopted a Maltipoo and renamed her Umami or Uma. She is only 7 years old and was recently diagnosed with glaucoma in her right eye. It was tough because I just adopted her less than 6 months ago and all of a sudden she had a cloudy eye. I took her to the vet who gave me eye drops but that didn't help. I was referred to an eye specialist for animals and that's where she was diagnosed with glaucoma and needed the procedure done immediately because her eye pressure was so high, over 80. She is the sweetest dog who loves to cuddle, to run around the park and is super smart but this was an unexpected event with her diagnosis. The ablation procedure and follow-up appointments will cost over $5,000 which is a big burden on me. Any help is appreciated to mitigate the costs for her procedure. I just want her to live her best life and as long as her tail's wagging I am happy!
