HELPING TO BUILD TWIGS FARMERS MARKET

Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters, we thank you so much for your time, help, and support. On May 31, 2025, we have officially broke ground and have started construction for TWIGS Farmer’s Market. With all our permits and surveys in place, we are moving forward. Our goal is to make healthy eating into a reality, building up one community at a time. We strive to do this by providing fresh fruits, fresh produce and fresh meats. We will have butchers to cut our meats offering direct service to you, our customers. We will offer meats like oxtail, goat meat, lamb, and many more. We believe good health is very important, and we cannot do anything without it. We believe many of the sicknesses, and cancers in our body are tied to pesticides and preservatives used to preserve our food. Our mission is to visit our farms, streamline our venders and suppliers, giving you the best options, and providing you with the healthiest of foods.

Though we do have funding to construct our site and store, we are still in need of funding for our freezers, coolers, butcher equipment, registers/POS system, food, and working capital. The total $$$ needed for these items will be $880,000.00; Your support will directly help with these essential equipment for the store. If you feel inspired, and you support healthier foods for our community, I ask for your humble support by contributing to our cause. Your support will be much appreciated, and any amount will help. Thank You!

A little bit about who I am, and my journey. My name is Bo Wisdom, and I am a child of God, a former United States Marine, a firefighter, a husband and a father. My life has been dedicated to serving my country, my community, my family, and friends. Through my experiences—both in service and in faith—I have been called to take action where help is needed most. TWIGS Farmer’s Market is more than a store. It’s a mission to promote healthy eating, create jobs, and combat hunger and homelessness. This vision is not just mine—it belongs to all of us who believe in making a difference. My journey began on January 5, 2006, when God saved my life while defending our beloved country in Fallujah, Iraq. I was shot by an enemy sniper, as I went to save my comrade and protect my Marines. On that day, everything changed. I endured more than 18 surgeries, survived two comas, and suffered nerve damage on the right side of my body. I lost over 91% of my blood and came close to death more than once—but by God’s grace, I survived. I was reduced to skin and bones, unable to walk, and faced challenges I never imagined. For a time, I had to rely on a colostomy bag, with my intestines outside my body. The simple act of using the bathroom became a reminder of how fragile life is. Yet, through it all, God carried me forward. By the grace of God, we were able to escape that hostile environment. A few weeks later, I woke up in Bethesda Naval Medical Center, where I remained steadfast in my faith and continued to trust in God. Through weeks and months of surgeries, I fought to recover and push through the darkest moments. During my time in the hospital, I was awarded the Purple Heart for bravery and valor, presented to me by the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps, General Hagee. Though I survived, my brother did not—and that pain still lingers in my heart today. With my brother’s sacrifice, and the sacrifices of so many of my fellow Marines—those who stood beside me and those who came before me—I vow that their sacrifices will not be in vain. Their legacy will live on through me until I take my last breath. You will be honored. Since then, I have become a husband, a father, and a firefighter whose life has been defined by service—first to my country, and now to my community.

My new mission now is fighting hunger, promoting healthy eating, and creating jobs. My vision of TWIGS Farmer’s Market, is to provide fresh, affordable food while addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and economic opportunity. With approval and permits secured from Cobb County, construction has begun May 31, 2025. Driven by faith and a deep sense of purpose, I am dedicated to making a lasting impact—one meal, one job, and one life at a time.

How You Can Help Your donation, no matter the size, will have a direct and lasting impact. Every contribution brings us one step closer to a healthier, stronger community. If you feel led to support this mission, I would be honored and grateful for your help. Together, we can make this vision a reality. Thank you for your generosity and belief in this project. With gratitude, Bo Wisdom
