I have exciting news to share. I will be embarking upon my fourth mission trip to the continent of Africa during April 2017. This time I am privileged to go and share a part of my life with the people of Kenya and the South Sudanese refugees. I am asking your help to send me. My goal is to secure $6,000 on or before April 23, 2017.
This will be a very unique and memorable mission trip. I am privileged to be part of a team from the US that will work alongside United Nations and White House officials to develop strategies to manage the refugee crisis. As you may be aware millions of South Sudanese fled their native lands due to the wars that took place in 2016. Many woman became widows and many children became orphans as a result of the killings. The trip will include ministering to women who are victims of gender-based violence, providing training in refugee camps, developing literacy programs, strategizing on clean water projects, and developing support programs for orphans. This experience will also include my attending an official United Nations meeting where I will sit among leaders from all over the world. This is perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Since you supported me on my first mission trip to the nation of South Africa back in 2015, I have completed two additional mission trips to the nation of Haiti (May 2016 and November 2016). The first trip included revamping an orphanage and ministering to women who were beaten or sexually assaulted during the earthquake. I also lead a group to secure funding to dig two well in an area where people are drinking and bathing with animals. During my second trip, I participated in a mobile medical clinic and made distributions to the natives deep in the mountains of Haiti. Following the November 2016 mission, I also lead a different team to secure funding to dig another well that will be completed during May 2017.
As always, your support is truly appreciated.
