My wife Susanne was a beacon of strength and kindness, her life inspiring testament to the power of resilience in the face of adversity. Living with Cystic Fibrosis, she faced countless challenges daily and she always did it with a smile that would light up the room—Susanne never allowed struggles dampen her spirit or her desire to help others especially parents with children afflicted with not only CF but any Terminal Illness. While accessed for treatments every moment spent showering became one of vulnerability for Susanne, as maintaining her medical port's dryness proved nearly impossible due to the few shower covers on the market that simply didn’t work.

This simple yet deeply personal struggle was a constant reminder of the everyday battles faced by so many—battles not just about survival but also about dignity and self-respect. It broke my heart every time I saw Susanne struggling with something so fundamental, feeling defeated over what should have been a moment of peace and cleanliness, her quality of life and that of the millions of people dealing with this same issue was diminished that much more when unable to securely maintain thier hygiene.

Determined to find a solution, we began developing TheShoweRing. After countless hours researching, designing prototypes, consulting with medical professionals, and tirelessly seeking out the best components, we finally achieved what seemed like an impossible dream: a truly watertight product for those who couldn’t find one before.

The response has been overwhelming—overwhelmingly positive. Medical professionals and individuals in need have showered us with praise and gratitude, saying it was "finally" something that worked as promised. And while the recognition is humbling, what truly fills our hearts are the stories of personal battles won because someone cared enough to design a better way.

Susanne passed away of CF after a very hard battle the last couple of months of her life. I Want to share a quote from Susanne that perfectly encapsulates why we do what we do? She once said, "I may have CF, but it doesn’t own me and while I'm still up I'll fight for helping others however I can!." I was in tears beacause of attitude regardless of her own struggle.  I made Susanne a promise before she passed away, that I would get The ShoweRing to market so that the Quality of Life for others can be improved, if only just a little bit.
