Our family is asking for help during an unexpected and difficult time. My son, Justin Marrone, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while coming home from work in the early morning hours. He gets off work around 3:00 a.m., and just after 3:20 a.m. we received the call no parent ever wants to get — that he had been in a bad accident and was being rushed to Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

At first, doctors found multiple injuries including a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, bruised lungs, and concerns involving his jugular vein and the major artery near his heart. By the grace of God, later updates brought better news: there appears to be no permanent damage to the aorta or jugular, and those immediate concerns have eased.

Justin has now been moved out of ICU and into a monitored care unit, where he is expected to remain for about a week. His healing time is estimated to be at least six weeks.

While we are beyond thankful he is still with us, this recovery will come with financial strain. Justin will be unable to work during this time. He does receive a small VA disability payment, but it only covers his rent and basic obligations.

We are starting this fundraiser to help with:

1. Lost income during recovery
2. Monthly bills and household expenses
3. Groceries and everyday necessities

Justin is a hardworking young man who was simply trying to make it home after work. If you feel led to give, no amount is too small. If you are unable to donate, prayers and sharing this campaign would mean just as much to our family.
