Awe and nostalgia washed over me as I flipped through the pages of memories—from childhood birthday parties to bar mitzvah celebrations. Amidst these cherished moments was a small, unassuming snapshot that stopped me in my tracks: it was a young boy with eyes full of dreams and wonderment at what felt like his first synagogue service. This wasn't just any child; this was me. My faith took a turn in college when I was exposed to Yeshua by my roommate thru tapes of classes from a pastor in Texas. It changed my life and I became a Messianic Jew. Now I see the same path in another young man. But he is special. He is decades ahead in his learning of the scriptures. Knows Hebrew and Aramaic and shortly will know Greek. He is also an established writer and still basically a kid. This bright-eyed kid now stands on the precipice of adulthood, facing one of life's biggest milestones: turning 18 in a few months. For Aaron, it means more than just leaving home for college or taking that first big step into his career; it marks the beginning of a journey towards spiritual and intellectual growth at a renowned Messianic summer camp in upstate New York, followed by two years of higher education in Texas, then seminary school.
