Hi, my name is Evans. For those of you who don’t already know, I’ve been on mission in South Africa for over four months now. I’ve been working with a team of people in local schools in an effort to share the Word of God and support racial reconciliation among the underprivileged children of South Africa. South Africa struggles with racism amongst whites, blacks, and people of mixed race, of whom are discriminated against the most. Our mission is to serve the overwhelmed teachers at local farm schools, consisting mostly of mixed race kids. We build relationships with these kids which allows us to invite them to after-school programs where we share God's Word. The relationships we build bring hope for unity as they are loved and cared for by people of different ethnicities (both local and foreign) which is very uncommon in this country. This past March we held events at the schools during their week long holiday. This was a way for the kids to participate in fun games and hear more of the Gospel rather than get into mischief, as they usually do during theses holidays. It was a huge success with many kids even stating they want to have a relationship with God and continue to learn about Him. We trusted in God’s provision knowing it was something that would radically change lives. We made a few big financial decisions like buying a banner and purchasing meals for the kids. We have almost received all the funds to cover this expense. I would like to raise these funds to help cover the remaining costs, as this would be a blessing to the ministry. I am in my final two weeks being here and things are coming to a close. Preparations are being made for me to travel back home. Support regarding my travels back and funding to further this project would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you to those who have already supported me from back home. Your effort has been so substantial in helping me to thrive here while making an impact in many of these kids’ lives.
