Hi everyone, I started this campaign for the Slagel family because I want to see them reunited!

Marcus and Jo Slagel moved to Northern Idaho, USA from Auckland, New Zealand in response to God's leading in February 2025. They had started the process toward Jo's immigration in November 2024 and were told the initial form should take between 7 and 11 months to process. They were also told that a couple of months after that, she would be able to get her green card. It has now been 17 months and so far, the initial form has not been processed. In the meantime, Jo has needed to leave North America every 90 days. This includes 4 international trips so far with their 2-year-old daughter, Nevada in tow.

In the middle of all this, Jo became pregnant with their second child after 12 years of infertility. (Nevada was an IVF blessing). They were both hoping she'd be able to give birth in the U.S., but will end up giving birth back in New Zealand, meaning that Jo and Marcus have been separated for several weeks. 

Marcus is still working in Idaho, but funds are tight, and he needs to fly to New Zealand to be with his family in time for the birth of his baby boy. As you can imagine, the plane flights are getting expensive! Let's help lift one burden off their shoulders —plane tickets!

This fundraiser will cover the cost of Marcus' flight to New Zealand and hopefully a flight back to North Idaho for all 4 family members sometime after baby boy is born.
