It's a struggle I know intimately: stray cats roaming our streets, fighting for survival under bridges or in abandoned lots, being dumped at a farm because folks believe that they will be able to survive there by feeding on mice. A lot of folks cannot afford the cost of veterinary care for their pets and sometimes, depending upon their housing situation, they may have their hand forced to give up their pets because the landlord won't allow them. They have a choice to make: feed & house their human family or risk being homeless with no way to care for anyone.

The area where I live is very rural and very low income. A lot of the folks are well into their 70's & 80's and are on a fixed income. People see these remote houses & farms and just dump off cats & kittens and then drive away...leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces.

By dumping these cats, the cycle repeats itself with each new litter born into a world that can barely provide for its own needs, let alone the unexpected demands of helpless kittens. This isn’t just about animals; it's about community and kindness—a fundamental human responsibility to ensure every life has dignity and care.🌱❤️

I am working tirelessly to help the local farmers and residents to end the cycle of kittens born litter after litter. The reason behind this campaign—it’s not just about altering animals; it's about changing futures. With every animal altered, we offer a chance at better health and longer life spans, reducing the suffering that plagues our community. 🐱😇

This initiative isn’t new to me; TNR (trap-neuter-return) has been part of my life here for years now. But as times grow tougher economically, even well-intentioned folks falter under financial pressures.
