On December 24th, John and Kirsten Carey welcomed little Rook into the world and into their family. While they initially believed that no complications existed, soon they discovered that Rook had an infection. As of now, Rook has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 3 days, and it's expected that he will remain there for at least another week. Kirsten and John are now facing thousands of dollars of unexpected medical costs, while also striving to maintain normalcy for their other little boy, Jay. The goal amount of this campaign represents only a fraction of the expenses the Carey's will be paying in the coming weeks. Any donations that this campaign receives will go straight to helping pay off medical bills, providing childcare for Jay while Kirsten frequently visits the NICU, and paying for food and gas during this time of extreme transition. Their family has already been so blessed by your prayers for Rook; please continue praying for his improvement, and consider donating to his recovery if able.
