This past weekend, I joined 26 others—including lawyer Wayne Hsiung and actress Alexandra Paul—in rescuing 23 beagles from unimaginable suffering at Ridglan Farms in Dane County, Wisconsin.

The sounds, smells, and sights are burned into my memory forever.

The Moment I'll Never Forget

I carried one beagle, who I named Darling, through a hailstorm as thunder shook the ground beneath us. He rested his head on my shoulder, and I whispered, "You're safe now, darling," before handing him to the rescue van waiting to take him to freedom. In that moment, I knew every step was worth it.

But the fight isn't over. Police took 8 of those puppies—now called the "Ridglan 8"—from rescuers' arms and returned them to that facility, where they continue to endure unthinkable cruelty.

Why This Fundraiser Exists

Since the rescue, so many of you have asked how you can support me and my fellow activists. This page is our answer.

The money raised here will go directly toward our:

   🐾 Travel expenses – Court appearances require travel to Dane County

   🐾 Legal fees – Defending ourselves for standing up against cruelty

   🐾 Lost wages – Taking time off work to show up in court for the animals

We walked through a hailstorm to save them. Now we need to walk through the legal system to defend what we did—and fight for the Ridglan 8 still trapped inside.

Every dollar brings us closer to justice—for Darling, for the Ridglan 8, and for every animal who deserves to be safe.
