In October of 2024 I had the privilege of attending A Million Women, a prayer and fasting movement that began on the Mall in our nation’s capital, D.C. I along with thousands of other Intercessors was moved and marked by the Lord to continue praying and boldly standing for truth and righteousness in America. In the airport I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Rachel, you will be back here(D.C.) sooner than you think.” Fast forward to a year later in October of 2025, I had been hiding that word from the Lord in my heart and had not shared it with anyone and I went to watch a friend’s baby and a friend of hers came up to me and asked if the Lord had been moving on my heart to move out of state recently, to which I replied, “Yes, but you don’t know where!” And as I finished saying those words she boldly said, “ it’s Washington, D.C.! You’re supposed to be moving to D.C.”

I responded with sobbing tears, because I had not told anyone, to my remembrance that I was feeling lead to D.C. That was my moment of commissioning! I began to seek the Lord for the direct scripture and timing of this commissioning and he lead me to Deuteronomy 1:6-7 “The Lord our God spoke to us at Horeb, saying, ‘You have stayed long enough on this mountain. Turn and resume your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland (the Shephelah), in the Negev (South country) and on the coast of the [Mediterranean] Sea, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.”

A friend of mine sent me this scripture, highlighted in her Bible, two weeks before the commissioning and the Lord told me to go check my text messages because he’d already given me his Word!

Thus, this new faith adventure began and he’s lead me all the way to the official launch date, on April 14, 2026 I will be moving in obedience to Alexandria, VA, just outside of D.C. to help pioneer and launch Mercy Culture D.C. campus and continue following his call and assignment on my life!

I appreciate your prayers and support as I obey and follow Jesus where he is leading me in this chapter. This is not something I am taking lightly. I believe with all my heart the Lord is positioning his children and we must hear, listen and obey him right away.
