After losing my mother in 2018, God placed a deep burden on my heart to help other families keep their loved ones at home with dignity and compassionate care instead of watching them be placed in nursing facilities.

My mother was a caregiver her entire life. She poured herself out for others and, before she passed, told me that because of my kind spirit, I should continue that work. On my father’s deathbed, I also promised him that I would one day own my own business. Both promises led me here.

That calling became Phoenix Care — a new home care agency in West Virginia dedicated to serving the elderly, disabled, and veterans through the ADW program, VA benefits, and private pay. We will also provide respite care for overextended family caregivers who are burning out while trying to care for their loved ones.

Right now, there are many people in desperate need of care who are stuck on long waiting lists because of the severe caregiver shortage in West Virginia. I already have several clients and some caregivers ready to begin at Phoenix Care as soon as we launch, and I’m working hard to meet all state certification requirements so we can start helping more families quickly.

To open our doors and begin serving these families with excellence, I need to raise $8,000.

Here’s exactly where the money will go:

1. Liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage (required before we can open)
2. The mandated physical office space + several months of rent and utilities
3. EVV billing software, computer, scanner, and technology setup
4. RN oversight and supervisory visits (required by ADW for the first several months)
5. Background checks, licensing fees, initial supplies, and PPE
6. Marketing materials to reach more families in need

This is more than starting a business. It’s an act of obedience to God’s Word:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

And it is a commitment to persevere in the good work He has called me to:

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Every dollar you give will help turn that calling into action. It will help real families in West Virginia stay together. It will help seniors and disabled individuals keep their dignity and independence. It will also give much-needed respite to exhausted family caregivers who have been carrying the load alone.

I am doing this as a solo founder right now — working full-time on certification, policies, and preparing to care for my first clients personally. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to opening the doors.
