Our son fought for his life now we are fighting

On January 12th, 2026, our son Hesekiel was born under life-threatening conditions.

He had to be delivered by emergency C-section in a private hospital in Windhoek. There was no alternative – he was in breech position. Shortly after birth, everything became even more critical: fluid in his lungs, weeks in intensive care, and constant fear that he might not survive.

He is a fighter

We did everything we could to save his life.

And he made it.

At the end of January, we were finally able to bring him home.

But while we were fighting for his life, our own situation began to fall apart.

In July 2025, I lost my job as a freelance contractor for a recruiting company. For two months, I had no income and started falling behind on rent.

In order to survive, I asked my former employer for a private loan. He supported me with €2,000 and allowed me to continue working remotely – but under reduced conditions.

Then came the birth of our son.

Then the hospital bills.

Then more setbacks.

The total hospital costs were around 200.000 NAD, of which we had to cover a portion ourselves.

At the same time, I had an unresolved visa situation in Namibia. During a visa amnesty, I turned myself in and was required to leave the country. During this period, I was barely able to work.

A close friend helped me with €1,000 so I could leave the country and survive for two months in South Africa. Another kind person in Namibia lent me additional money.

On March 23rd, 2026, I was finally able to return.

Home again all of us together

But the consequences remain.

Today, we are facing a situation we can no longer handle on our own:

  • 4 months of unpaid rent (10,000 NAD per month) – we are at risk of losing our home
  • Outstanding hospital costs
  • Private debts to friends and my former employer
  • Ongoing medical check-ups for our son (270 km trips to Windhoek)
  • Costs for our planned marriage, which is essential to secure my legal residency and stay with my family

My current income is around 20,000 NAD per month. After basic expenses, almost nothing remains. At this point, we are no longer able to pay rent.

This is why I am asking for your help.

Our goal is to raise €13,000 (NAD 260000) to:

  • cover urgent debts
  • secure our home
  • ensure ongoing medical care for our son
  • and keep our family together legally

I never thought I would be in a position to ask for help like this.

But I am doing it for my family.

For my fiancée.

And most importantly, for our two sons.

Hesekiel fought for his life – and he survived.

Now we are fighting to give him a safe and stable future.

Every contribution makes a difference.

Even sharing this campaign can help us more than you can imagine.

From the bottom of my heart – thank you.
