I am currently living in a shelter after being thrown out of my house by my ex-wife. This sudden change has left me struggling to cover my basic monthly expenses, including car insurance, prescription medications, and my cell phone. My car insurance is due soon, and I have six prescription medications that I need to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. Without these medications, I worry that I could end up in the hospital, which would make things even harder.

Social services is working to help me find an apartment, but the process could take anywhere from four to eight weeks. In the meantime, I am doing my best to stay strong for myself and for my two kids, who are 16 and 14 years old. They need a healthy dad, and being able to afford my medications and stay connected is crucial for my well-being and for theirs.
