In June Reese will be traveling across the world to be a part of the International Medical Aid in Mombasa Kenya. After rounds of interviews she was chosen to go on this life changing experience. She will spend 3 weeks there learning as she shadows medical staff in the surgical, radiology and pediatric departments. Unfortunately this larger than life opportunity comes with a larger than life price tag. As her parents, we told Reese not to worry about the cost, that we would make it happen anyway we possibly could. But she also wanted to earn her way as well. She is willing to do odd jobs like babysitting to raise funds to help with the cost. In reaching out to family and friends to see if anyone was in need of a "TEEN FOR HIRE" we had an over whelming amount of individuals who were not in the area but wanted to contribute to her raising funds to go. It feels odd setting up an account to fundraise without there also being a bake sale or venders event attached to it, but we are so grateful for the support of those who are wanting to help fund her trip. Give Send Go will also pray for Reese when she is there and that also gives me comfort knowing it is Christian based fundraising platform that does not charge fees.
