Hi everyone, 

Our family is currently still recovering from significant mold exposure in our previous apartment, which greatly impacted our health. We’ve were advised to replace all household items that were not hard plastic or metal—especially mattresses/pillows/furniture—as they can hold onto toxic mycotoxins and cannot be fully cleaned.

In addition to replacing these items, we’ve faced unexpected out-of-pocket costs related to supporting our children’s recovery, including severe food allergy care, and wellness and detox support (under their functional medicine pediatrician) as their bodies heal. While our daughter has already shown improvement, our newborn son has some severe food allergies from utero exposure. Fully moving forward requires removing contaminated items we unknowingly brought with us at the time and creating a truly clean environment.

At the same time, I’ve been dealing with ongoing back issues that recently left me unable to fully function for several weeks while caring for my two young children. Because of this, having a properly supportive mattress isn’t just a comfort—it’s essential for me to be able to rest, recover, and continue caring for my young children.

We are doing everything we can to move forward, but the combined cost of replacing furniture, belongings, multiple mattresses, deep cleaning our home, and covering these additional health-related expenses has been overwhelming.
