Michael “Mickey” Payne Puckett, 75, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026. He was born to Hollis Lamar Puckett Jr. and Wilma Payne Puckett in Atlanta on Saturday, July 1, 1950. Mickey entered the United States Navy upon graduating from high school and served his country with honor until he retired. His time in the service allowed him to travel the world and see many interesting places. He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his brother, Kenneth Puckett; his niece, Heather (Matt) Trompke; and nephew, Chris Puckett; along with many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
