Sawyer and I (alongside friends, CJ Larson and Jake Kelley) have watched as a doors opened for us to partake in a missions opportunity in Chad, Africa. For us, we never expected to get to travel alongside our best friends, sharing the Gospel in CHAD just a couple months into marriage… But God is so kind and faithful! On this trip we will be hosted by and aim to serve the mission's organization, African Inland Mission (AIM). For more information about AIM, please visit their website: https://aimint.org/
The opportunity arose through our good friend (wedding officiant, pre-marital counselor, long-lost brother and pastor) Jake Kelley who is a long-term AIM missionary. He was approached by a former team leader when there was a need in help for an upcoming missionary care retreat. For the first week, our small team will be doing whatever we can to help the long-term missionaries relax and rejuvenate! Predominantly, we will be spending time the with missionary kids.
For the next couple of days we have been given the opportunity to visit the village that Jake, Mandi and their family previously lived in. This village is completely unreached, yet the team has seen fruit and new believers come from the work of the missionaries present. We will be visiting many of Jake's old friends and new believers in the community.
The last week we will be going to a completely unreached and unengaged village and people group to be able to host a english class. The Chadian government is searching for english speakers to come and teach english in many capacities! We are humbly accepting the invitation, hoping that it will open doors for the Gospel.
We are fully aware that any seeds sown, or work done will be the work of the Father already ahead of us. But we pray that He will use us mightily to bring hope, light and Truth. We would love for you to consider giving towards our short trip.
The cost is $3000 for the BOTH of us. Please give in any way you feel led; donations, prayers, or words of encouragement.
Feel free to ask any questions, at any time!
With peace & joy,
Sawyer & Alli Ware
