"What is next?"
That was the question running through my mind when I walked up those steps to receive my high school diploma from my principal in May 2017..
As I prayed and thought about my future, I decided that I would simply take it one step at a time. My first step has been working forty hours a week and saving money (hard to believe, I know..). Since then I have continually thought about what really is next as I watched many close friends attend their first semester of college or trade-school. However, I am very excited to announce that my second step will take me to do missions work with Youth with a Misson (YWAM)!
YWAM is a well known Christian organization runs a twelve week discipleship school where I commit to learning more about the Bible, the heart of God as our Father, importance of the Gospel and how to effectively share it. The specific discipleship school I chose to attend is known as 'Beach to Bush'. Based out of Brisbane, Australia we will be visiting schools, youth groups and doing outreaches in many geographic locations in the Outback. A team of twenty will travel by bus, do school on the road, and probably sleep on a few floors, maybe under the stars with my new critter friends.
After Beach to Bush wraps up, we will then be launched into an Asian country (Thailand, Taiwan or others) for another three months, doing street ministry and supporting local churches.
Why am I sharing this with you? Simply said, I cannot do this alone. I am asking you to partner with me in prayer and, if possible, financial support. I thank you in advance for any support you feel called to give and am excited about sharing this journey with you all!
As we approach my launch date (February 15th!), I will keep you updated and give you links (vlogs) to keep up with this adventure.
