Jake has been falsely accused and wrongfully charged by the state of Illinois for something he did not do. He spent the majority of 2024 in Cook County Jail, one of the worst county jails in the country. Thankfully, as more evidence proving his innocence has come to light, the judge granted him house arrest a few months ago.

Jake has been out of work for nearly 16 months and his attorney fees have increased rapidly due to numerous motions and court continuances. We have also had to hire a private investigator and specific witness experts/specialists to help assist in this case. If the state doesn't do the right thing and drop these false charges, we will likely be going to trial within the next 3-6 months which will cost even more, unfortunately.

In 38 years, Jake has never been arrested and has no criminal background whatsoever. He was working a full-time job and had been a loyal employee with his company for over 8 years at the time of this incident. Due to a few people lying to police, he was wrongfully charged and incarcerated in early 2024. While incarcerated, Jake was let go from his job, evicted from his apartment, and then spent nearly 11 months in county jail. In addition to high legal fees, he has a 17 1/2 year old cat named Nala (who's like a daughter to him), who was recently diagnosed with stage 2-3 Chronic Kidney Disease and now requires medicine, regular bloodwork, and a costly prescription food diet.
