On Monday April 20th 2026, an amazing soul left this world in a devastating motorcycle accident. James Jones of Sylacauga worked for Walmart as a dedicated employee for years and was a key part of his community.

This givesendgo is being set up to assist his family as his disabled mother, his significant other, siblings and many others in the family have had to take off from work to assist as he is no longer able to do so.

Jay's death is devastating for anyone who knew him. Sadly bills wait for no one to grieve, least of all his family. This has been set up with permission from his mother to let people donate as they feel moved to do so. The funds will be used for reliable transportation for his mother in addition to the various expenses met as they handle the closing of his final affairs that can take up to 6 months.

Jay was the bones that supported his family and friends. Always willing to do what he could to help even if it was just lending an ear or simply being there when you needed him most. No words can heal the hearts of those that miss him, but it is a hope that relieving some of the financial burden now set upon their shoulders will help to ease some of the worry.

I know his mother is presently disabled with no transportation, limited income, and her only child no longer able to care for her. The extended family is doing what they can but many have had to take unpaid leave to try to help.
