As a woman of faith, I believe that by asking for help, I am honoring the strength God has given me to protect my son.

​With less than two weeks left, we currently have nowhere to go.

For years, Lorenzo and I have survived paths marked by complex trauma, psychological abuse, and the exhausting weight of transactional, conditional dynamics. We know what it feels like to live in environments where you are constantly calculating your survival. ​My ongoing journey escaping domestic violence, healing generational trauma and navigating through the Illinois court system began in 2018, marking the start of a long history of struggle to maintain a safe, stable environment for my son, Lorenzo. Throughout this crisis, I have surrendered my life to the lord, while remaining dedicated to trusting God’s plan; even when the path ahead looks entirely uncertain.

A recent unexpected hurdle has turned our ongoing journey to psychological safety and healing complex trauma into an urgent race against time. Our current rental property is being sold by our landlord, while Lorenzo, my 9yo son, and I must completely vacate by June 14th.

Within a few days of this news, despite my twenty-year career history in operations and customer service management, my most recent employment became unsustainable. Unable to meet the new work hours, and support my son simultaneously, I was let go from my current job.

(As Lorenzo navigates an acute distress crisis and requires specialized therapy to address the psychological effects of our family's history, I had to choose him. He needs a mother who can be present during his emotional crises and who can provide the regulated, stable presence he deserves while we both engage in intensive therapy.)

I am stepping forward to ask for the Urgent prayers, love, and tangible help of the Christian community to help us break this cycle of hardship, allowing me to maintain a safe, stable environment for my son, Lorenzo.

We are now at a point where "getting by" is no longer an option.

This sudden displacement threatens the fragile stability I have fought so hard to build. I am stepping forward in complete humility to ask our Christian community to become the "village" we so desperately need right now, helping us turn an immediate housing crisis into the safe, peaceful sanctuary God is preparing for our future.

​To shield Lorenzo from further disruption, avoid homeless shelters, and establish our new life, we are raising funds for three critical objectives:

1. ​Emergency Housing & Relocation (Urgent): Funds to secure a lease, security deposit, and immediate moving costs to establish a fresh start in a brand-new environment by June 14th, 2026, a peaceful sanctuary entirely removed from past toxic dynamics.

1. ​Financial Stabilization: To cover current past rent settlement, basic necessities and keep us on our feet while I transition into a flexible professional role that respects my caregiver responsibilities.

1. ​Therapeutic Continuity: To continuously support Lorenzo through his special emotional needs and specialized care without disruption during this forced relocation.
