Hello, my name is Kim. I’ve never in my life felt so desperate and in need for this kind of help in my life. About a year ago I made the hardest decision of my life when I separated from my husband bc I couldn’t stand for my children to hear all the fighting anymore. The house was not mine to keep so I had to be the one to go. Although I moved just a few towns away, I still made sure to see my children as much as I could. During that time I quickly found out I couldn’t ford my vehicle anymore and I unfortunately got repossessed. My roommate and I thankfully made that work and shared a vehicle with no real problems. Being employed by Instacart and DoorDash made having a vehicle a pretty big priority. Of course, about 1 month ago, I was involved in a car accident in a car that did not have full coverage. Now I lost my job, my means of transportation, the ability to see my children as much and now my apartment is being threatened. I’ve applied everywhere in walking distance, asked everyone for help, and have no where to go if I get kicked out. The house I grew up in is being sold bc my dad had a massive stroke and sadly still can’t go home while my mom has diabetes and just got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s so she can’t be at the house alone anymore. I can’t even get there to help. I’m just trying to get on my feet but feel like I’m starting at negative a million. I can’t express to everyone who happens to read this that I graciously appreciate anything and everything any one of you donates. Every dollar will not be forgotten. I thank all of you in advance.
