I woke up feeling unusually tired and weak, a big difference to my usual energetic self. But as days went by, those moments of fatigue started becoming worse and caused a trip by ambulance. After numerous tests, it became clear that something wasn’t right with my body's ability to produce blood efficiently. Low hemoglobin and iron levels, leading to chronic fatigue and heart strain. My body’s inability to keep up with the basics functions of daily life. I had to have a blood transfusion as part of treatment which didn’t raise my levels enough. My body isn’t producing enough blood and my heart is working overtime to make oxygen for my body.
