There are moments in life that divide everything into “before” and “after.” For our family, that moment came when my 13yr old son Judah, recently suffered a devastating catastrophic leg injury that changed our lives overnight.”

As a mother, there is no pain like watching your child cry out in agony, physically and emotionally knowing you cannot take that pain away. Judah sustained a severe growth-plate fracture in his left leg that required emergency surgery. Surgeons placed screws in his leg to help repair the damage, and since then he has faced weeks in a cast, overwhelming pain, limited mobility, and a long road of healing that includes a wheelchair, walker, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.

While my son has been fighting to recover physically, our family has been fighting to survive financially.

To care for Judah during his recovery, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave my job. There was simply no other choice. My son’s health had to come first. Losing my income, however, has placed us in an overwhelming financial crisis. Shortly afterward, we also lost our transportation, making it incredibly difficult to get Judah to his surgeries, follow-up appointments, physical therapy, and other essential medical care.

What was once a stable life has become a daily struggle just to meet our most basic needs.

Every day I wake up asking the same questions: How will I keep food on the table? How will I pay our bills? How will I get Judah to his next appointment? How do I help my son heal while trying to hold everything else together?

Despite everything, I refuse to give up.

Our family is working toward relocating so we can build a more stable future with stronger support and new opportunities. We believe this fresh start will give Judah the environment he needs to continue healing while allowing us to rebuild our lives with hope and stability.

Today, I am setting aside my pride and with a humble heart I’m asking for help because I cannot do this alone.
