Hello, my name is Ricardo Villarreal I am a small man living in Texas who through discord has become privy to the plight of an individual who is currently taking shelter and is seeking to ultimately leave their home country and rebuild their life in Germany pursuing a career that will complement their experience/skills.
Why raise money for this individual or even start a fundraiser?
-Because it's the right thing to do for someone who is seeking to escape a conflict they themselves have nothing to do with and if it is within my power as an individual to assist someone in need that I'm in close communications with and heavily empathize with then I shall try and let it be so.
Why USD and not Turkish Lira?
-Simple. The U.S. Dollar is a stable currency, while Turkish Lira is not so stable. It would go without saying that I did start a fundraiser on GiveSendGo in Turkish Lira but that one went kind of lopsided.
What happened with that previous fundraiser?
-I made a genuine error and due to me selecting that the fundraiser was taking place in Turkey and placing the currency in Turkish Lira I a U.S. citizen am not able to receive the currency, nor am I able to convert the currency to USD, and opening up a bank account in Turkey as a U.S. citizen remotely is incredibly difficult. Why can't one of the individuals who is housing him receive the money?
-I wish to keep this as discreet as possible and not expose or compromise the people who are helping Pheonix at the moment.

What do you plan to do with the money upon receiving it?
-Hold it until I can start receiving sponsorship invoices from the German embassy, from there a portion of the money will be allocated to relocation fees & general cost of living expenses.
What will happen if you cannot facilitate all of this?
-While this is an outcome that I do not wish to come to fruition I must be prepared just in case and if so, I am prepared to seek other avenues by which I can continue to assist Pheonix in his endeavors. Should all paths be exhausted and I am unable to help him with the money raised I am fully willing to donate a significant portion of it to charitable organization such as: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Feeding America, and American Humane.
