I recently received an invitation from the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) to attend a week-long program in Washington DC this summer, where I’ll have the chance to work alongside actual FBI agents and learn about forensics and law enforcement. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am incredibly excited about. However, the tuition for the trip is a significant challenge for my family, and we cannot afford this expense on our own.

Law has always sparked my interest, and towards the end of middle school, I realized that I wanted to pursue forensic psychology. Since then, I have been researching colleges, filling out interest forms for every school that visits, and working hard to maintain a high GPA so I can earn scholarships and grants for college. Attending this program will not only give me two college credits, but also a valuable head start in my future career path, as I’ll be working with trained professionals in a hands-on forensic simulation.

I am reaching out for help because I truly believe that, with the support of my community and by making persistent efforts, I can overcome financial obstacles and pursue my dreams.
