Hi everyone, I am reaching out to my community in a moment of urgent need. As many of you know, I have been fighting a long battle for a safe and livable home for my children.

After over a year of dealing with unsafe conditions and a "retaliatory" eviction filing, I went to court this week. The Judge ruled in my favor regarding a "Breach of Habitability" due to the conditions of my apartment. The good news is that the judge lowered my rent balance significantly. The difficult news is that I must pay $3,213 by Monday, April 27th at 1:15 PM to satisfy the court order.

I have uploaded photos here to show the reality of what we have been living through. These images document the infestations and the maintenance neglect that led the judge to rule in my favor. No family should have to live like this.

The Goal and My Contribution:

The court total is $3,213. I have already been saving every penny I can, and I have some funds put aside that were meant for our emergency moving expenses. I am putting all of that toward this balance, but it is nowhere near enough to cover the full amount. My hope is to raise the remaining balance—or even half of the goal—so that I can combine it with my savings to meet the court's requirement.

Why I Need Your Help Right Now:

• The Deadline: If I do not have the full amount by Monday’s court appearance, the eviction will move forward despite the win in court.

• The Future: An eviction on my record will make it nearly impossible for me to find a safe home for my kids in the future.

• The Gap: I have finally been approved for new housing assistance! However, that process takes two weeks to finalize. I just need to bridge this 5-day gap to prevent the eviction from being finalized.
