Hello!

I have just been accepted to serve with Mercy Ships for two years beginning this August! I will be working as an English teacher with the Academy on the Africa Mercy and will be helping make it possible for families to serve onboard.

Mercy Ships is a nonprofit organization that runs the two largest non-military hospital ships in the world. They provide free medical care in countries where approximately 10% of the population has access to safe surgery. In doing so, they follow the model of Jesus who healed the sick and brought hope to the poor. Since their founding in 1978, Mercy Ships has performed over 119,000 life changing surgeries and has impacted countless lives. Mercy Ships is staffed entirely by volunteers, with approximately 1,500 people serving annually.

I need to raise money to cover my flights to and from the ship, my required monthly expenses, and the payments for my student loans. I would be very blessed by your support and ask that you pray for me and the team on the Africa Mercy.
