We live on 15 acres of high altitude prairie in SE Wyoming. Nothing fancy, just functional. We operate it as a retirement ranch for horses that have few options left. They don't get worked, they just live their remaining days in peace and rest.

We have 2 rescue horses and various rescued dogs and cats.

We have received very little moisture this year, resulting in no grass. We rely on the grass to feed the horses during the warmer months. Since there is no grass, we are forced to feed hay, which is very expensive this year ($500/ton).

We have exhausted the savings on summer hay that was eartagged for purchasing winter hay.

Please help. Without support we will be forced to sell the horses this fall. Since they are either retired or rescued, buyers will be difficult to find and they will most likely have to be sold as "killers". We would prefer a different end-of-life outcome for them. We would prefer they live out their last days in peace and die naturally.
