I am a little embarrassed and very humbled to be asking for help especially when it comes to financially. It was taught at a very young age of 11 years old  "if you don't have the money, then you don't need it". So that's when I bought an electric push mower to start mowing lawns to earn a little bit of money. You would never guess what my first purchase was? Yes indeed a gas powered mower so I didn't have to drag around 150 feet worth of extension cord!! 😅 In my early 30's  unfortunately my body went into a transformation and I was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy called Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (look it up), it attacks your lower legs and hands. With this condition I am now challenged with simple every day life abilities like WALKING, BALANCING, TIE MY SHOES, EVEN HOLDING UTENSILS PROPERLY. I have to wear BRACES (orthotics) on my legs from the time I wake till bed time everyday. They are not the most comfortable. When I was initially diagnosed with CMT, the doctors told me that by age 40 I probably wouldn't be able to walk much. I was even fitted with a custom electric wheelchair, had ramps built on my house. But GOD had different plans. Our Father in Heaven told me to GET UP, so His Will Be Done! So now at the young age of 58 years old, the wheelchair has dust on it and though I do struggle a bit I get around. Now this past November of 2025, a lump on my neck started to appear out of nowhere. I went to my family doctor to have what I thought would be a routine check up. That routine check up turned out to be sending me to a specialist where after much testing results came back as Squamous Cell Carcinoma otherwise known as CANCER. Throat and Tongue cancer to be exact. I am a man of FAITH, and I know God has and WILL be there next to me thru this journey. He has always been there for me AMEN! As I started out by saying, I am a little embarrassed and very humbled; let me explain. For the people who know me, the one thing you can say about me is I don't know a stranger. Ill make friends with the fiercest lion. It is my ministry on this earth to bring joy and a smile to all. I am legally disabled and live off my disability check plus I still mow lawns (leg braces and all) to supplement my income. BUT I mow lawns mainly for the elderly, Veterans and neighbors who may not be able to afford the prices of a normal landscaping company.I give back and I don't feel comfortable asking for financial help. But it has gotten to that point that I need help. The money that im asking for is strictly to assist in covering some, not all, but some of the bills that are pouring in from my RADIATION AND CHEMO treatments. I have chemo once a week and radiation 5 times a week. As well I drive 58 miles ONE WAY for my treatments 5 days a week. With gas prices the way they are right now even that bill for one week is a huge chunk!  And just so you know, I have already exhausted all avenues in the way of Cancer Center Financial Assistance, cashing in all my savings, etc. If all you could donate is $5 that is very generous and heartfelt. If it is prayers that I am receiving, that is worth every penny to me as well. Your kindness is well appreciated and if I could I would individually thank you! I am a true fighter.
