We are raising funds to help our 76-year-old neighbor obtain legal representation in a civil lawsuit involving the ownership of the home she has lived in for over 35 years.

The property was purchased in 1991 and she has considered it her home ever since. Over the years, there have been multiple title changes, and the current ownership is unclear. A lawsuit has now been filed seeking full ownership of the property and possession of the home.

Because she lives on Social Security and has no savings available for attorney fees, she needs immediate help hiring an attorney to review the title history, respond properly to the lawsuit, and protect her rights through the legal process.

We are not asking anyone to take sides or make judgments about the case. We simply want to make sure an elderly woman is not forced to face a complex legal matter alone without representation.

All funds raised will be used toward attorney consultations, legal fees, court-related costs, and necessary expenses connected to helping her respond to the lawsuit and remain safely housed while the matter is resolved. She has already expended $5,000 with an attorney to try to mediate a resolution but now needs $10,000 for a retainer to obtain a civil litigation attorney.
