For me, it wasn’t just about illness; it was also about losing my job—a place where I felt invalued and disrespected.

I thought by now life would be different. Instead of struggling to make ends meet and feeling like a burden on the world, I imagined myself happily crocheting away in my cozy corner, surrounded by my dog and being peaceful for once in my entire existence. But reality had other plans...

Fast forward to today, and here we are: me with broken teeth that make it painful even to speak sometimes. It’s not just about appearance; this is affecting how I eat, talk—even breathe deeply because of the pain. 😔

Last week, I went to a university clinic hoping for some good news. But after waiting anxiously in their halls and finally meeting with someone who could potentially help me... well, let’s just say it was heart-wrenching leaving empty-handed again. Tears were shed that day—mine! ☹️

I know what you might be thinking: Why not apply for dental assistance programs? The truth is, I have tried everything within my power to get help with this... and nothing has worked out so far.
