I have a very sick friend with stomach illness and other medical conditions, such as acid reflux, sore throat, mental fog, back and organ pain, dizziness, nausea, visual disturbances, poor balance, and weakness. For the last three months, my friend has been in and out of multiple hospitals and has seen many doctors and specialists. As a result, he has massive debt. The doctors and specialists have not been able to diagnose the reasons for the symptoms. He also tries to stay positive but finds this very difficult because the symptoms are always present. Every task is completely taxing--he is not able to work and cannot do the things that he used to enjoy. He mostly stays home and does what he can to just get through the day. He is also not able to eat very much because eating food makes him sick. As a result, he has lost 20 pounds in one month.
