Hi. My name is Amy Hardy Moye. My friend created this campaign for me over 3 months ago when she realized my dire need of financial assistance. Instead of the Facebook birthday fundraisers, I’m sharing this.

A little background about me. I am the blessed mama of 4 awesome kids, ranging in age from 7-15 years old. We moved to Goldsboro, NC 2 years ago. I was a stay at home homeschool mom since the birth of my first child. Now a single mom, with kids in school, struggling to provide financially for my family.

For the past year I’ve been applying for jobs - full time, part time, local, remote - so many I’ve lost count, and for most, I either don’t hear back, or I am under qualified. I currently have 3 part time jobs - teacher’s assistant, dance teacher, and cashier - that cover all the bills, except mortgage. I substitute teach when opportunities arise. EBT has covered all our food needs. And we have Medicaid for health insurance.

I’ve only been able to secure financial aid through one community resource in the past. Apparently I do not know how to work the system to receive from other organizations, as I always hear they are out of funding. I do not want to learn how to work any system anyways. Only the one that is sustainable with consistent income.  

Although a donation would help with the immediate need to avoid eviction, there are a few other options.
